Competency Training’s Melbourne facility just got a whole lot better!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Open Day on 21 March, where we showcased our facility and its additional range of equipment, to a diverse cross section of customers and partners.

In addition to our industry-leading Hazardous Area courses, customers can now experience practical High Voltage training on a range of extra equipment including overhead power lines, all within a fully simulated environment.

The facility is unparalleled in Victoria and offers:

Experienced, personable trainers with years of experience across a variety of industries and projects
Breakout area with TV and lounges
A convenient location only 20 minutes from both Melbourne CBD and Tullamarine airport
5 tiers of metal clad switchgear with withdrawable circuit breakers, configured in a bus-tie configuration
2 ring main units
Overhead lines incorporating insulators, drop-out fuses and lightning arrestors
Air break switch and outdoor gas-insulated switch

I’ve done this course a number of times and it can sometimes drag. The trainer made the course enjoyable and relevant to my job. I found his way of presenting easy to understand and he had a wealth of knowledge and experience that we could relate back to our own workplace.
